Design Description

Sirius B is a white dwarf, roughly the mass of the sun packed into the volume of the Earth, and Alvan Graham Clark first saw it through a telescope in 1862. Po Tolo is the name Marcel Griaule and Germaine Dieterlen recorded among the Dogon in the 1930s and 40s for a small heavy companion star. Whether that account predates European contact has been argued in the anthropological literature ever since, and the argument is still open.
