Every use since has kept the sense of a thing settled in advance.

STARDUST, printed four times down the shirt, each pass lighter than the one above it. Cosmic Ancestry Protocol sits beneath in small type. A protocol returns the same result every time it runs. Four passes, and the word is still the word.
