When Betelgeuse goes, the brightest orange point in the most recognisable constellation in the sky fades out over about a year, and the figure that humans have been drawing the same way for as long as there have been humans drawing gets redrawn permanently, with one corner missing.

THE SKY ENDS EVENTUALLY sprays across a torn paper backdrop in heavy stencil lettering, black paint dripping from the edges like the design is still wet from the blast.
